WildFire's MOD 4.0

MOD tested under Windows 98, Windows 2000 and XP.

Requirements: Jagged Alliance 2 ver.1.06. I don't think that MOD will be work with 1.03 - 1.05.

Highly recommended to use this MOD with Guerilla Warfare 4.0 map pack (also available soon). You can use also this MOD with standart JA2 maps, but be ready to possible mistakes with ammo and guns…
You may play also standart JA2 separate, without uninstall the MOD.

Changes:

1. New weapons added (USP, Uzi, UMP, MP5A3, Mini-30, HK33, G36, MP7, MSG90, AN-94, RPK, V-94, VAL, VSS) and old weapons pics replaced. See stats and pics here;
2. New sounds for all weapons (MUCH more realistic);
3. More realistic game balance: weapons, economics... all gameplay;
4. Not repairable items: Guns (exclude shotguns), sniper scope, silencer;
5. More realistic explosives, mines, grenades and armor;
6. More realistic bullet piercing effects;
7. No more absurdities such the barrel extender and rod&spring;
8. No more rocket rifle;
9. And many other things - welcome to IDG forum

UB Mod 1.3.

This mod contains all changes of my previous JA2 patches + new game balance. Simply download and unpack this archive to your UB directory. New game is not necessary.


Patch 3.0.

This patch is intended for the English version of the Jagged Alliance II and installable on my patch v2.0. Update is based on the version of the game 1.06. Attention: your game must be already v1.06 and two previous patches must be installed.

I. Instruction of installation.
a) Unpack archive by WinRAR and place files in the directory with the game. Archive contents long filenames!!! Copy ALL existing files, include ja2.exe.
b) Begin new game!

II. What this patch himself represents.
1) At last v1.06 available.
2) Weapon edits: see table.
3) New weapon: M24 replaced by PSG1, Automag III replaced by Automag IV.
4) New ammo for H&K21 and RPK74.
5) Some new weapon pics.


Patch 2.0.

This update is still intended for the English version of the Jagged Alliance II 1.05 and installable on my first patch (v1.0). Update is based on the version of the game 1.05 (take into account it, owners of versions 1.06. Anything bad from substitution ja2.exe from 1.06 on 1.05 does not happens, unless you a BIG idolater of talon and/or fights in San-Mona).

a) Unpack archive by WinRAR and place files in the directory with the game. Archive contents long filenames!!!
If any from rewritten files at you already are available, transfer source files of the game to other place, on any case.
If any sound is not pleasant to you - you may erase files from patch and return old files.
b) New game is not required.
Attention! This patch include new sounds for crying and dieing enemies. If you are not sadist, please delete dir BattleSnds in this patch! ;))) IMHO, this sounds too "earcutted" and can unlike some men.

II. What this patch himself represents.
1) Many weapon specs edited.
2) Completely changed sounds for 4.7mm and Automag III.


Patch 1.0.

This update is intended for the English version of the Jagged Alliance II. Update is based on the version of the game 1.05 (take into account it, owners of versions 1.06. Anything bad from substitution ja2.exe from 1.06 on 1.05 does not happens, unless you a BIG idolater of talon and/or fights in San-Mona).

II. What this patch himself represents.
1) Completely was replaced sounds for 0.38, 0.357, 0.45, 9mm,
5.56, 7.62 NATO and WP for all modes; bursts for the silenced weapons. Was edited single shot for 5.45. All rifles (exclude RR) now have each own audio.
2) Completely replaced average pics for Colt Commando, C-7. More pretty AK-74, SVD. Are slightly corrected FN-FAL, RPK, AKM and some another pics.
3) The parameters of sniper rifle are corrected. SVD have 9 AP/shots (were 13), range 60 (80), damage 40 (33), value 42 (32). M24 have damage 38 (32), range 95 (85), value 42 (32). FN-FAL speeds now 6 AP/shot. Increased AKM damage - 30 (were 29). AK-74 and AKM bursts now have 4 shots.
4) The rounds for 7.62mm are divided. It is unable to load SVD by 7.62*39WP/30rnds cartridge (AKM, Type-85) or 7.26*39WP/10rnds cartridge (SKS). Because really SKS have fixed cartridge, also changed pics of the rounds for this rifle.
5) At the request of the workers ;) silencer is now attachable on AKS-74U (this ability now unavailable for Thompson).
6) Pistols. Increased speed: 0.38, desert eagle, barracuda, automag - up to 7 AP/shot; colt-45, beretta-93 - up to 6; glock-17, glock-18 - up to 5, beretta-92 - up to 4 AP/shot.
7) A bug of sir-tech with shots H&K21 by sounds for 7.62WP is corrected.
